Press Release Contact: Skip Summers Phone: (866) 600-5060 Ext. 1 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 9 A.M. EDT, February 23, 2009 US Department of Veterans Affairs Purchases Hyperion Ultrasound Lebanon, PA, OCTOBER 29, 2008: Trisonics Inc., a Graydon Pierce Imaging preferred distributor, delivers their first Hyperion Ultrasound to the Veterans Affairs Hospital for use in their OB/GYN and outpatient primary care settings. The Hyperion will mainly be used by physicians and their assistants. Hyperion setup and training was completed on February 3, 2009, and physicians plan to share the device between three offices to aid in diagnosis and patient care. The Hyperion Ultrasound is the world’s only dual-touch screen system and utilizes patented Di-Touch™ Technology. With two 15-inch screens, it provides the largest viewing area of any portable ultrasound device on the market. The system is hand-carried and has hot-swappable transducers which allow transducer changes in one step. The system automatically recognizes new transducers and “remembers” what exam was last performed, opening presets and allowing for smooth, instant scanning. With 256 beam-forming channels, Hyperion provides the highest image quality available in a portable system. Images can be saved in multiple formats to easily confer with colleagues and share information regarding patient care. With its innovations and durability, the Hyperion system chosen by the VA will provide time-saving features which equate to better patient care and overall financial savings; plus the Windows XP platform makes it extremely intuitive and user-friendly. In addition, the Hyperion will double as a PC to lessen equipment loads for remote applications. For more information, Please contact Skip Summers at the number listed above. 337PRrev0.0209 |
